Hello! I'm currently working on a hyena fursuit head, and although I like how it looks, I was just curious if anyone could find any flaws for me?

Now, I know the eyes are a slight bit lopsided, but that because they are only sitting right on the foam. It doesn't have a nose yet, and I think the jaw is a little lopsided, but im alright with that.
Anything you see wrong? What do you like about it? Any information will be useful.
Thank you :)

Was reading up abit on Mass Effect 2 and going back and re-capping the story of the first game. There's so much to keep up with in terms of back story, characters, government.. etc etc that this game actually has the broadness of a classic Star Wars film.

Knowing that the game will definately have a Trilogy, it could end up being the most classic Sci-Fi story of all time in the modern day. I'm sure that would strike everyone as an over-exagerration, but... go look up some of the wikipedias and try filling yourself in on everything the story has to offer and you quickly find out that it takes a good bit of time to understand 'everything'. The concept of the game is vast enough to produce a nice group of geek fans that go all the way, as would be.. a Star Trek fan, etc.

That's a compliment toward the game and the hard work put into it. What goes through some people's minds to create a story so vast is beyond me.

I'd like to play Mass Effect 2, but probably won't be able to get around to it right away... still have Dante's Inferno taking over my first place choice in February.

WOW I just realized we will be entering a new dacade in a few days.
We had the 70s , 80s, 90s .... But what will we call this one?
The 00s ? The "zeros" ? The "two thousands"?

and what about the upcoming decade?
The "tens" ? The "teens" ? The deca-decade?

We need to hurry up and decide this. The clock is ticking.

Does anyone have an Irc log from last night's episode that they would be able to send me?

Thanks,

I'm currently making an Ifrit quad suit commissioned by a friend of mine and i had a few questions. Since we are trying to minimize the cost and the uncomfortable heat that using multiple foam layers would cause, I was thinking of ways to make this all work. When I went to sit down on my beanbag, and idea struck. Has anyone ever made a suit with a beanbag like build? Like one layer of foam on the under shirt and an air pocket filled with the little styrofoam beans covered by another layer overtop holding it all in? I don't have any clue if it will work but I thought that I'd ask.

I also would like to ask, would fleece or felt be better for a fur subsitute? Ifrit doesn't have very long fur on his body aside from his head and fur can be very expensive when you can only find good quality fur on rare occasions...

If anyone has any sugestions or tips I'd love to hear please! I've never done a quad before but what I learn from making this one will be used on my 2011 project! Sesshomaru in his demon dog form!

During the summer of 2003, while tangling with one of the Ratchet & Clank series and chatting with [info]whiteyfawks about random suit projects at a donut shop in Cupertino, the idea of a Space Vixen came to mind. I was partially inspired by something [info]prickvixen once suggested, doing a 50s B-movie style velour space suit with piping and faux tubes. Why not mix them up in fursuit form? With proper padding under body and a large (bigger than human) head, the velour body would in theory downplay my mannish shoulders that I'm always self-conscious while wearing Candy Coon.

Originally it was to be a full velour outfit with only fuzzy head and tail, but then it seemed to work better with just a velour torso, furry upper arms & legs, and velour gloves and boots somewhat akin to the stylized outfits from Sailor Moon. (perhaps more like Cyber Lady Suzuka)

[info]penh and another friend wanted to be conspirators in this space girls entourage, who I'd later call "StarGuard" (after the singing group portraying Lucy and the Diamonds from the Frampton & the BeeGees' Sgt. Pepper film). Since the lavender shaggy fur I was planning to use for the vixen also came in light blue and pink, we figured on a pink bunny and a light blue something. Maybe something distinctively black & white colored purple and light blue? Not a panda, but perhaps a lemur? We decided a border collie would round out the trio.

I came up with starry names: Astra (vixen), Stella (bunny) and Luna (border collie). I got as far as getting to LA in August to buy the colored fur, but over time eventually lost interest as other projects took the place on my plate:
Walden retrofit Dec 03
Y2K9 summer 04
Camper retrofit summer 05
PolkaDog v2 fall 05
Tech E. Coyote summer 06
PepperPup facelift fall 06
Bosco summer-fall 07
Twilight spring 08

The last nail in closing out this coffin was finally using the lavender fur I'd set aside for Astra to build my bunny Twilight.

One last reminder, as as mentioned here, we'll be having a new year's eve party on Thursday. If you'd like to come and don't know how to get here, please go comment on that entry. I'll be sending out directions tomorrow.
